We desire to partner with business owners to provide practical financial counsel to the entire staff.
This program is intended for a business owner who is looking to provide a unique employee benefit. Productivity decreases when employees are worrying about credit card payments and concerned with living paycheck to paycheck. Employees enjoy working for an employer who is interested in their personal growth as well as their professional development. Staff turnover causes many unnecessary expenses for the business and an increased time commitment in order to train new employees. The program we are offering can increase productivity and retain employees.
The goal of our relationship is very extensive and covers cash flow and debt management, saving and investing, and generosity. We address cash flow planning with a budgeting tool that links to smartphones in order to track expenses on a daily basis, and review reports with the data collected. Next, we plan to address debt elimination, saving, investing and encourage generosity. Our desire is to comprehensively counsel the staff of a business regarding these topics. Not only will this provide financial security, but many other benefits will follow.
Our agreement to the business owner is to:
- Meet with the staff on a consistent basis. Accountability is the most important consideration when discussing budgeting, debt elimination, saving and generosity.
- Provide financial education seminars throughout the year. This allows the entire staff to gather so we can share stories of success and provide tips for adjustments moving forward.
- Create quarterly reports so that the business owner can review progress.
- Commit to keep all employee information confidential in order to maintain a professional relationship.
70% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. The #1 cause of divorce is conflict over finances.
One example of our past success with this program was when we worked with a company’s eight participants. Over the course of a year, 29% of consumer debt was paid off by those who participated. 58% of credit cards were totally eliminated in a year. This specific business owner decided to match all debt paid off up to a certain amount. With the employees efforts and the match, the total amount of debt that was paid off was over $75,000. That’s an average of $9,300 of debt paid off per participant over the course of a year. Not only were thousands of dollars of debt paid off, but this allowed the staff to begin paying themselves by saving first instead of paying debt payments. The discipline of tracking expenses and sticking to a budget was learned over the course of a year. Many employees have communicated to us that they have maintained tracking their expenses. Behaviors were learned from this program that created a catalyst towards financial freedom.
We want to partner with business owners to provide practical financial counsel to the entire staff. We see this as a benefit to the employees as well as the business owner.
